At a really young age, was when I was blessing to hear the sweet sounds of Reggae, Jazz, and R&B.  My mom was a music head, there wasn’t a love song that she didn’t not know from start to finish.  I benefited from hearing her hum tunes mostly over summer break when I was home with her each day.  And just like the radio, all you need was to hear the same songs over and over again before you start liking them.  When I started my first job, my first paycheck when to buy a compact stereo system, AM, FM, 2 decks and a turntable on top that plays 45 and 33.  My first CD was purchase in 1995, R. Kelly, you remind me of my jeep…  (laugh) My first 33 record was bounty killa – hmm… I don’t even remember the name of the song.

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember reggae, dancehall and R&B.  I was introduce to hip hop/rap later in my years.  I use to record mixes from the radio and bring them to school to show my classmate, and let them hear it.  It was my goal to always listen to new music before anyone else does, then letting them hear what’s going to be the next hit.  My music foundation has been built on love, hate, sex and war, as those where the content of everything I listened.  I would buy records, bring them home and then record them to tape and try to mix them together, you could not tell me my mixes wasn’t hot back then (laugh).  What started just as an interest, grew into a hobby, and then blossomed into love.  Music is life, and mixing it and manipulating genres is living.
